Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Super You Academy ("we", "us") makes animated learning videos for young children at superyou.academy and on our YouTube channel @superyouacademy. This policy explains which data we collect, why, where it is stored and how you can have it deleted.

Controller: Nikolas Gerlich, Meilen, Switzerland. Contact: [email protected].

1. Who gives us data

Our service is used by parents and other adults. Children do not use the ordering pages and we do not ask children for any data. A parent may enter a child's first name and choose how the child's superhero looks. We do not collect photos, birthdays, addresses or any other information about the child.

2. What we collect

3. How we use it

We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising and do not build profiles.

4. YouTube API Services

We use YouTube API Services to deliver personalized episodes. After your order, our server uploads your episodes to our own YouTube channel as unlisted videos marked "made for kids", adds them to an unlisted playlist made for your order and sends you the playlist link. Only people who have the link can find the videos.

By watching the episodes on YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data on YouTube is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Where data is stored

Order and hero data are stored with Cloudflare (database and website hosting) and on our own render server in Switzerland. Videos are stored on YouTube (Google). Some of these providers may process data outside Switzerland, under the safeguards required by Swiss data protection law.

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers.

6. How long we keep it and how to delete it

Deletion: email us at [email protected] with your order code. Within 30 days we delete your hero data and order data and delete your episodes and playlist from YouTube. You can also ask what data we hold about you and have it corrected.

7. Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you save a hero, it is stored in your own browser so you can come back to it.

8. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you can ask for access, correction, deletion and a copy of your data, and you can object to processing. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local authority.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above and, for material changes, tell customers by email.
